That’s odd because Bhagavad Gita is part of Mahabharata and that is dated 3000+ bc

And your historical Buddha is approx 600 bc

There are numerous other facts but since truth is not allowed on this forum I will just let the calculations of dates speak for themselves
You might want to check your dates...
Facts support that Mahabharat happened much before Guatam Buddha arrived.
In fact the both historical incidents belong to different eras.
Even Guatam Buddha also has referred to 32 planes of existence.
The present earth belongs to 26 th plane of existence, while Krishna era belongs to 25 plane. While Rama era belongs to 24th plane.

Many persons refuse Lotus sutra ( sayings by Guatam Buddha) as history of development of Lotus sutra. While I have guessed the birth of first Buddha(sun moon bright) and lotus sutra at plane no 16. And the extension of Lotus sutra range has gone to plane no. 20-21 by the next buddha mentioned in chapter of Phantom city. This Buddha had 16 sons and Guatam Buddha the last son brought down the Lotus sutra to our present earth on plane no 26.

Lotus sutra did not exist in Krishna era. Even in Gita Krishna mentions that greatest are those saints who meditate in isolation in jungles.

But vedas mention the evolution or growth of development of this existence through the series of Avatars that guide the History and evolution. The journey of Gods like Krishna , Rama, Jesus, Mohamad start down in PART IGNORANCE/WISDOM,
and they get the results accordingly.

This is a very complicated subject, I can clarify MY VIEW (alternate view will be very much welcome) only when questions are put in. Each question puts the enquires at some stage of problem. And answer has to be meditated on which will extend it to next question.

How do we know Buddha attained Nibbana?
.

I think we are referring to Guatam Buddha in this case.

Three steps are to happen when we can confirm that Guatam has attained Nibbana.

1. He has to surrender the Lotus sutra to next Buddha , who should be ready to take over on this earth.
2. After handing over he will move over to His father GREAT UNIVERSAL EXCELLENCE WISDOM THUS COME ONCE and merge his cosmic energies as have all other 15 brothers have done already.
3.It is then all of them together will merge in Nibbana as One.

As far as I know ....Guatam is very active on this earth at present.

I am sure that Guatam has left no such information before his death. He himself will no know till after his physical body dies.
The bringing of Lotus sutra is an enormous event. Its purpose is to free the earth of sufferings, old age and death.
This process as actively on at present.

Lotus sutra is not only a spoken/written sutra. It is a sword in the hands of Buddhas (not only Guatam, but all past Buddhas)
to withdraw the evilness from 4 lokas of earth and then filter (purify) this evilness into Emptiness. And then to gift it to existence on earth.

Question...........Where is it written that Lotus sutra is active or sword etc..........?
In that case just read a few pages of chapter 11. ......The treasure tower Buddha/
It will be simply clear that whole universe is collecting around this Lotus sutra. Even a twin Buddha named TREASURE TOWER BUDDHA is going to be visible only when Lotus sutra is preached.

I read it as reversal of a major process.
All along for billion trillion of years ONE has been coming down and scattering into many. Billions of bhoddisattvas and their follwers got grouped in this scattering.

Now the Lotus sutra is going to reverse this process with the help of Treasure Tower Buddha. They both together are going to sift and clean this earth. Impure minds will be cleaned to Emptiness and sent up to meet their destiny from which they fell. When they unite , the result is that all the bhoddisattvas who waited for million billion years are going to move up towards Nirvan through the passage of Lotus sutra and go to ONENESS.

Interesting note in that topic:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microorganism#Discovery
Ancient precursors
Vardhmana Mahavira postulated the existence of microscopic creatures in the 6th century BC.

The possible existence of microorganisms was discussed for many centuries before their discovery in the 17th century. By the fifth century BC, the Jains of present-day India postulated the existence of tiny organisms called nigodas.[3] These nigodas are said to be born in clusters; they live everywhere, including the bodies of plants, animals, and people; and their life lasts only for fraction of a second.[4] According to the Jain leader Mahavira, the humans destroy these nigodas on a massive scale, when they eat, breathe, sit and move.[3] Many modern Jains assert that Mahavira's teachings presage the existence of microorganisms as discovered by modern science.[5]
Like the Buddha, it appears Mahavira was also well ahead of his time, discovering things not known to man for many centuries later.
