This turned into a very cool thread over on dhammawheel, so I thought I'd start it here.

My simple Theravadin shrine using the top two shelves of a built-in bookcase:

Nice!
To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas.

Beautiful Shrine.
I tend to use my iPad as a portable focus/shrine if required.

I also have a 'shrine of the little finger' that I am very attached to. The finger can do prostrations and other practitioner like devotions.

I have a garden shrine where the Buddha Birds come to bathe, no Garudas yet ... :freak:

Look forward to more inspiring images.

When I moved to my new flat, I was delighted to find a little alcove, which is just perfect for my shrine. I have a shelf with my Buddha statue on and then a table underneath the shelf where I put various other items. My shrine is mostly Buddhist but a little interfaith as well.

Anyway, one particular feature of my shrine that I like, I thought I'd share with you, as it really does give off a nice "enlightenment" vibe to the space
