Can knowledge and vision (super normal powers) be attained without first Jhana?

My understanding is that the knowledge and vision is a result of Jhana.
However it appears not.

===========

Brahmin, what thing is more noble and exalted than knowledges and vision. Here brahmin, the bhikkhu, secluded from sensual desires and secluded from demerit, with thoughts and thought processes and with joy and pleasantness born of seclusion attained to abides in the first jhāna. Brahmin, this thing is more noble and exalted than knowledges and vision.

They shouldn't be hiding behind the forum and never facing up to it.

Like hiding behind a secret or hiding behind forum usernames.

I am not Theravada, and although I frequently visit the local Thai Temple, I don't know much of the Pali Canon. However, based on my personal experience, and what reading I've done on the Suttas, I would venture to say that knowledge and vision come from the Enlightenment factors, especially Energy, Concentration, and Mindfulness.
There is no Emotion, there is Peace;
There is no Ignorance, there is Knowledge;
There is no Passion, there is Serenity;
There is no Death, there is the Force.
