Great Compassion Mantra

Mantras are much used in Mahayana, this is one of the most popular and powerful. Master Hsuan Hua composed verses on each of the 84 lines of the mantra. Recitation of and pondering on each (or any) line, whether Master Hua's verse or the mantra, is a good method of cultivation.

This is one of my favorites. It's on my chanting playlists right after Imee O (sp) singing Heart Sutra in Sanskrit. The last one I do on the way to work.
There is no Emotion, there is Peace;
There is no Ignorance, there is Knowledge;
There is no Passion, there is Serenity;
There is no Death, there is the Force.
