Curing Sick Souls

Post by Nicholas » Sat Feb 08, 2020 6:52 pm

This is a theme that pervades all sorts of spirituality. Varied kinds of addiction, psychological & physical, have always been afflicting humans, but they seem to be more common nowadays. The intensity of addiction convinces the addict that they can do nothing to cure it by themselves. Thus the many faith-based approaches rely on supporters, repentance, reform and a Higher Power. The Higher Power seems to be the most effectual element.

Here is a survey of the many paths suggested to cure sick souls:

“The only radical remedy I know for dipsomania is religiomania,” is a
saying I [William James] have heard quoted from some medical man.
May all seek, find and follow the Path of selflessness.
