I've always suspected that monks' NDE experiences over the eons have contributed to aspects of Tibetan Buddhism. For example, how do they "know" what occurs after death? Where does the description of individual consciousness' travels/experiences after death come from? Some may be projection from Buddhist theory, but I think there have been influential monks who had an NDE and came back to tell about it, as a contributing factor.

I love his presentation style - so spontaneous and direct.

Of course certain Buddhist meditations mimic death, so one does not actually have to have a NDE to know the after-death realms.

Tibetan Buddhist monks NDE

Post by byronGeoff » Mon May 13, 2019 10:48 pm

Hello out there, I am new in here. I would like to learn the tibetan monks chanting, but I dont know how and where to start. Asking the tibetan monks, they always tell me, it comes naturally by the blessing of Buddha. Please, do you have any suggestions how and where I can learn this kind of chanting? Thank you

The book mentioned is out of print, but used copies still can be found.
