Whether imposed with legislation or embraced by practical or depressed people, suicide is a disaster in many ways. Here is one of Blavatsky's remarks about it:
If you mean by such desire [to quit life as] "suicide," then I say, most decidedly not. Such a result can never be a "natural" one, but is ever due to a morbid brain disease, or to most decided and strong materialistic views. It is the worst of crimes and dire in its results.

But if by desire, you mean simply aspiration to reach spiritual existence, not a wish to quit the earth, then I would call it a very natural desire indeed.

Otherwise voluntary death would be an abandonment of our present post and of the duties incumbent on us, as well as an attempt to shirk Karmic responsibilities, and thus involve the creation of new Karma.

The Theosophy taught by Blavatsky, WQ Judge and their gurus was ignored or twisted out of shape by some followers like CW Leadbeater & Alice A. Bailey among others. Here is a short article pointing out some major differences:

The assertion that “Theosophy is not a Religion,”
by no means excludes the fact that “Theosophy is Religion” itself. A
Religion in the true and only correct sense, is a bond uniting men together—not a
particular set of dogmas and beliefs. Now Religion, per se, in its widest meaning is that
which binds not only all Men, but also all Beings and all things in the entire Universe
into one grand whole. This is our theosophical definition of religion.

We have said that we believed in the absolute unity of nature. Unity implies the
possibility for a unit on one plane, to come into contact with another unit on or from
another plane. We believe in it.

Thus, unity of everything in the universe implies and justifies our belief in the
existence of a knowledge at once scientific, philosophical and religious, showing the
necessity and actuality of the connection of man and all things in the universe with
each other; which knowledge, therefore, becomes essentially Religion, and must be
called in its integrity and universality by the distinctive name of Wisdom-Religion.

Remember that the only God man comes in contact with is his own God, called Spirit, Soul and Mind, or Consciousness, and these three are one.

But there are weeds that must be destroyed in order that a plant may grow. We must die, said St. Paul, that we may live again. It is through destruction that we may improve, and the three powers, the preserving, the creating and the destroying, are only so many aspects of the divine spark within man.

No religion can prove by practical, scientific demonstration that there is such a thing as one personal God; while the esoteric philosophy, or rather theosophy of Gautama Buddha and Sankaracharya prove and give means to every man to ascertain the undeniable presence of a living God in man himself,— whether one believes in or calls his divine indweller Avalokiteswara, Buddha, Brahma, Krishna, Jehovah, Bhagawan, Ahura-mazda, Christ, or by whatever name—there is no such God outside of himself. The former—the one ideal outsider—can never be demonstrated—the latter, under whatever appellation, may always be found present if a man does not extinguish within himself the capacity to perceive this Divine presence, and hear the “voice” of that only manifested deity, the murmurings of the Eternal Vach, called by the Northern and Chinese Buddhist Avalokiteswara and Kwan-Shai-yin, and by the Christians—Logos.

Philosophia Perennis -- the phrase was coined by Leibniz; but the thing -- the metaphysic that recognizes a divine Reality substantial to the world of things and lives and minds; the psychology that finds in the soul something similar to, or even identical with, divine Reality; the ethic that places man's final end in the knowledge of the immanent and transcendent
Ground of all being the thing is immemorial and universal. Rudiments of the Perennial Philosophy may be found among the traditionary lore of primitive peoples in every region of the world, and in its fully developed forms it has a place in every one of the higher religions.

The self-validating certainty of direct awareness cannot in the very nature of things be achieved except by those equipped with the moral 'astrolabe of God's mysteries'. If one is not oneself a sage or saint, the best thing one can do, in the field of metaphysics, is to study the works of those who were, and who, because they had modified their merely human mode of being, were capable of a more than merely human kind and amount of knowledge.

Esoteric philosophy reconciles all religions, strips every one of its outward, human garments, and shows the root of each to be identical with that of every other great religion. It proves the necessity of an absolute Divine Principle in nature. It denies Deity no more than it does the Sun. Esoteric philosophy has never rejected God in Nature, nor Deity as the absolute and abstract Ens. It only refuses to accept any of the gods of the so-called monotheistic religions, gods created by man in his own image and likeness, a blasphemous and sorry caricature of the Ever-Unknowable.

Yet it is from the ever unknowable the that man arose.

Is not a moment of eternity still part of eternity?

Through the conscious eyes of eternal emptiness monotheism refracts to polytheism in the minds of sentient beings according the lens affixed to each of their 3rd eyes respectively.

It is needless to explain that this book is not the Secret Doctrine in its entirety, but a select number of fragments of its fundamental tenets, special attention being paid to some facts which have been seized upon by various writers, and distorted out of all resemblance to the truth.

But it is perhaps desirable to state unequivocally that the teachings, however fragmentary and incomplete, contained in these volumes, belong neither to the Hindu, the Zoroastrian, the Chaldean, nor the Egyptian religion, neither to Buddhism, Islam, Judaism nor Christianity exclusively. The Secret Doctrine is the essence of all these. Sprung from it in their origins, the various religious schemes are now made to merge back into their original element, out of which every mystery and dogma has grown, developed, and become materialised.

This quote could mislead a reader to think Theosophy is source of religions and nothing else. However, the subtitle of the book says - "The Synthesis of Science, Religion, And Philosophy". In very ancient times there was no separation as is now the case and when HPB's book was written.

That ties it all together quite nicely.

I had subliminal understanding of this as a child but questioned it from pragmatic point of views to actualize it as truth opposed to delusion. I knew it and then realized it.

We are all relative potions of an absolute reality of such pervasive encompassing dimensional possibility that if we were able to see it we would realize we are simply abiding in form as a part of the fabric of the universe itself.

We are born abiding to life ignorant that life is a part of something greater and not an entity unto itself. The parts of the cosmos that lay closest and available to our senses is the realm we perceive to navigate.

Regardless I always considered anything past the purview of humanity extraneous except to the human condition and experience for which it means everything. Understanding it past that context doesn't serve humanity and there in lies the trap that allows desires to fulfill self in the quest to understand the cosmos but this also reveals how the one's very perspective of this things is a reflection of their desires to manifest understanding for the furtherance of narcissism or altruism respectively.

There are many texts to study as an introduction to the theosophy of Blavatsky. The most difficult is The Secret Doctrine; however, HPB gave suggestions on how to study it by focusing on certain basic portions of the book.

If we study the question with a dispassionate mind, we will
soon perceive that the ethics of Gautama-Buddha, Plato, Apollonius, Jesus,
Ammonius Sakkas, and his disciples, were all based on the same mystic
philosophy. That all worshipped one God, whether they considered Him as the
"Father" of humanity, who lives in man as man lives in Him, or as the
Incomprehensible Creative Principle; all led God-like lives.

It has been always held that a true Theosophist must have no personal ends to serve, no favourite hobby to propagate, no special doctrine to enforce or to defend. For, to merit the honourable title of Theosophist one must be an altruist, above all; one ever ready to help equally foe or friend, to act, rather than to speak; and urge others to action, while never losing an opportunity to work himself. But, if no true Theosophist will ever dictate to his fellow brother or neighbour what this one should believe or disbelieve in, nor force him to act on lines which may be distasteful to him, however proper they may appear to himself, there are other duties which he has to attend to:

To warn his brother of any danger the latter may fail to see; and
To share his knowledge — if he has acquired such — with those who have been less fortunate than himself in opportunities for acquiring it.

Human nature is so prone, when hearing about Altruism or reading about it, to imagine that it is something foreign to us, lugged into human life as a most desirable thing to follow, but, after all, highly impractical, and therefore impracticable — that it is not inherent in the characteristics of human beings to be altruistic naturally. In other words, they are all fascinated with the idea of isolated self-interest. Is not this virtually universal supposition utterly unfounded in Nature herself? For wherever we look, whatever we consider or study, we find that the individual working alone for himself is helpless; wherever we look in all the great kingdoms of the Universe, it is union of effort, cooperation in living combines, which is not only what Nature herself is working to bring about and therefore which we find everywhere; but that anything that runs counter and contrary to this fundamental law of the Universe, which is unity in action, produces disharmony, strife, and what in our own bodies we call disease. Health is that condition of bodily structure where all parts work to a common end in what we may call friendship, in what we may call union.
